Bilateral Meetings
- 07.11.2014 Friday (3:20pm- 6:20pm)
Sigma Ltd. was founded in 1989. year.
The main activity is the production Hlorogen and automatic dosing systems.
The first Hlorogen was produced in 1996th and since then it has been constantly improving.
Sigma is also engaged in engineering and installing of automated systems for disinfection of drinking water. Training and maintenance completes our service.
With many years of experience Sigma guarantees complete and high quality drinking water disinfection solutions.
Hlorogen is device for electrolytic production of chlorine in the form of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) solution. This production is done on site in absolutely safe way.
Since no gaseous chlorine is present, water chlorination is absolutely safe due to system design. For production of sodium hypochlorite solution all that is needed is common salt, softened water and electric energy. Production expenses are up to two times lower compared to gaseous chlorine disinfection, or commercial sodium hypochlorite.
System is easy to use, demands only minimal maintenance and it is fully automated. Exploitation period is minimum 20 years.
Sigma d.o.o. Company from Kula has developed a new device that, on the place of consumption, in totally safe way, from salt and water, using electrical energy, produces the MIXED DISINFECTANT. MIXED DISINFECTANT is a mixture of equivalent chlorine (in shape of hypochlorous acid (HCIO) and hypochlorous ion (CIO) and chlorine dioxide (CIO2).
Its function is based on chemistry of oxygen compounds of chlorine. Newly developed device
is named OksiHLOROGEN® and is logical continuation of vision and mission of Sigma d.o.o. Company. Development of device for mixed disinfectant production is intended for solving some special problems of disinfection of waters in Vojvodina and waters containing humic substances. It is not recommended to perform disinfection of waters having such quality with conventional preparations for disinfection.
Conventional chlorination of such waters has a consequence in creation of organochlorine compounds such as trihalomethanes (THM) that are toxic for people, and chloroform is potentially cancerous. It is a reason for intensive research of composition and structure of humic matter, as well as technological procedures providing their efficient and cost-effective removal from water.
Mixed disinfectant is, in the same time, effective disinfectant and strong oxidant capable, except of disinfection, to neutralize both inorganic impurities such as ammonia and sulphides of iron and manganese and causes of color, odor and taste of water, as well as humic matter. In that way it improves total quality of water, without disinfection by-product.
Therefore, OksiHLOROGEN® device represents a perfect choice for small water systems that are not capable to perform complete treatment of waters containing humic matters (natural organic matters) and inorganic impurities.
Water treated with chlorine in general have variable biochemical composition therefore sometimes is spent less and sometimes more chlorine for initial disinfection. The remaining chlorine occurs as a "residual", and it is held on requested level by automatic regulation.
Sigma Automatic Dosing Systems completely satisfy all requirements for high quality and reliable drinking water chlorination in all types of waterworks with complete monitoring and storing of data.
